  • The Rosary tattoo is deep with faith and is becoming a very popular design for girls of all ages.

The Catholic Rosary is a chain of prayer beads with a crucifix or cross at the end representing Jesus.

The meaning of a Rosary tattoo is to help women remember certain major occurrences on their way to eternal salvation.

Eight different prayers are said in concession around the beads to help strengthen your appeal with God.

Most Rosary tattoo designs are done as a simple strand of beads wrapped around a foot or lower leg with a classic cross displayed in plain view.

Having a sincere faith in God is important, so showing this tattoo in a non-concealable location seems to carry significant meaning.

Rosary tattoos will always hold a message and be a treasured tattoo for a lifetime, salvation comes from within, but having this tattoo can help you thank God and praise him at the highest.

    1. Your information about the rosary is mostly wrong and lacking...
"Eight different prayers are said in concession around the beads to help strengthen your appeal with God."
Wrong. 10 Hail Marys are said in concession, followed by the Glory Be, the Fatima Prayer, a reflection on a mystery of the Rosary, and then an Our Father. The rosary asks the intercession of Mary for certain intentions by reflecting on a mystery of Jesus' life for one decade, or 10 Hail Mary's.

At least two of the pictures you posted showed tattoos of rosaries that were clearly inaccurate, revealing that the wearer of the tattoo had little to no knowledge of the faith or significance of the tattoo...there were some that showed a decade of 3 beads, and others that did not possess a marian medal in the middle...If one actually meant to pray the rosary using this tattoo, it would be useless. If one wanted it to be symbolic of the rosary....it would still be useless.
